Cornelian berries – a stomach friend

September is the month when I fill my freezer with the healthiest fruits and vegetables. I choose fresh ones, and those that are raised in this season, naturally.

Cornelian cherry is one of the fruits that I love to have and eat. I prefer eating it in some other ways, rather than raw, because its taste is a little sour. I buy 3-4 kilograms and put them on my freezer. Than every week I take 1-2 cups and make bio juice with it. I boil in one liter of water and add a little sugar, like 3-4 tablespoons. I remove the fruits and put the juice on the fridge, and drink it for 2 days.

Also, you can make jam with those, or you can dry them. I prefer the juice more, or blend them with one banana.

The benefits are great. They are great for dysentery and diarrhea, they support kidney function, they have antibacterial and antiviral properties, they are rich in antioxidants, improve liver function by exercising a strong hepato-protective action.

They have high mineral content and are rich in potassium, copper, iron, zinc and many more.

On September and October, consume it daily, than consume it weekly.
